About Me
With over 12 years of experience in Civil Engineering Design and Construction, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, bringing robust and innovative solutions to life. These include bridges, railway stations, and other infrastructure improvements. As a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers since 2020, I combine deep technical knowledge with a passion for structural design. Alongside, SJF Engineering, I also work for a tier 1 Engineering consultancy where I maintain my competence and transferable skill sets and keep up to date with the latest engineering practices. I have a particular interest in residential developments where engineering truly meets everyday life. I take pride in my attention to detail and in delivering practical, buildable designs that don’t just meet specifications, but positively impact the way people live, move, and interact with the built environment. I’m especially passionate about improving accessibility in our infrastructure, believing that thoughtful design has the power to transform lives for the better.
Why I founded SJF Engineering
I founded SJF Engineering to pursue a more personal and hands-on approach to engineering, driven by my long-standing interest in house renovations and a desire to work on projects where I could see a direct impact on clients’ lives. While I’ve spent years contributing to large-scale infrastructure across the UK, I wanted to create a business where I could stay “on the tools” actively involved in the technical aspects and undertaking engineering calculations myself. SJF Engineering allows me to strike a balance between the scale and complexity of infrastructure work and the rewarding, client-focused nature of residential and smaller-scale projects.

For projects further afield, we also offer remote consultancy services, subject to the type of work required and the availability of accurate supplementary information such as drawings, photographs, or existing reports. Whether working locally or remotely, we’re committed to delivering the same high standard of service, with clear communication and attention to detail at every stage.
